Ring Lardner eighth grade avenge loss

The Niles Ring Lardner eighth-grade boys basketball team avenged its only loss of the season with a 45-39 win over Benton Harbor Wednesday.

Alex Harpenau led the Vikings with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Niles also got 11 points and five assists from James Kirtdoll, while Jake Hamm added seven points and 10 rebounds.

Hunter Slaughter finished with six points and four assists.

The eighth grade also defeated John Young Monday 53-15.

Alex Jasper had six points and Keegan Neumann five. In all, 12 players scored for Ring Lardner.

 

Seventh grade

The Ring Lardner seveth grade defeated John Young 50-31.

Johnny Bybee led the Vikings with 18 points. Connor Brawley added a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.

Clay Seiber came off the bench to score 10 points.
