Dowagiac All-Stars win Little League Sectional

The Dowagiac 10-11 All-Stars swept Ypsilanti 8-5 and 3-1 to claim the Michigan District 15 Sectional title Sunday. The Dowagiac 10-11 All-Stars defeated Ypsilanti twice in Jackson to win the Michigan Little League District 15 championship Sunday.

The All-Stars toppled Ypsilanti 8-5 on Saturday and then came back to win 3-1 Sunday to advance to the state tournament this weekend at Parchment Little League beginning Saturday.

Dowagiac won its district title by defeating Edwardsburg 3-2, falling to Schoolcraft 10-4, defeating Edwardsburg in the consolation quarterfinals 12-7 and then defeating Schoolcraft twice — 10-1 and 10-4.
