Apple queen visits old elementary

The 2012 Michigan Apple Queen, Marissa Tidey returned to Dowagiac last week to visit students at Sister Lakes Elementary school.
Marissa was once a Sister Lakes student herself and was excited to represent the Michigan Apple Committee as she read to several of the classes, challenged students to win the “School Sweepstakes” again this year and gave out healthy apple snacks.
Her favorite question of the day: “Do you know the Banana Queen?”
