Clark, Ritchey win regional titles

VICKSBURG — The Edwardsburg boys track team was runner-up at the Division 2 Regional Track Meet at Vicksburg Friday.
The Eddies’ Josh Clark captured regional championships in both the 1,600 and 800 meters. Clark ran times of 4:27.33 and 1:58.93 respectively.
Skye Roy won the pole vault title with a height of 12-10.
Greg Hall qualified in the 110-meter hurdles as he was third with a time of 15.34 and Hunter Woods qualified in the 400 meters as he was fourth with a time of 51.04.
Edwardsburg also qualified its 1,600 meter relay team, which placed third with at time of 3:27.87.
That team consisted of Clark, Hall, Alan Lopez and Woods.
The Edwardsburg girls track team was ninth.
Qualifying for the state finals were Aubrey Ritchey, who won the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:18.24 and the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.25.
Casey Garcia was the Eddies’ other state qualifier as she won the regional championship in the pole vault with a jump of 10-feet.

Division 3
CONSTANTINE — The Cassopolis boys track team finished eighth at the Division 3 Regional meet hosted by Constantine High School Friday.
The Ranger girls track team placed 10th.
Cassopolis qualified two athletes for the upcoming state finals.
Robert Saxton won the long jump with a leap of 20-feet, while Breanna Coleman was a dual qualifier.
Coleman was third in the 100 meters with a time of 12.75 and she was fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.80.
