Meth suspects identified

Blaine Knight, 40, and his wife, Kristina Knight, 30, both of Cassopolis, remained lodged at Cass County Jail Friday afternoon after their methamphetamine-related arraignments in Fourth District Court.

Both were charged with six separate meth charges, including meth possession, manufacturing meth and maintaining a drug house in the 56000 block of Forest Lane on Kelsey Lake.

Blaine Knight’s bond was set at $70,000 cash or surety. Kristina Knight’s bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

An investigation into neighborhood complaints of possible methamphetamine manufacturing resulted in the couple’s arrests as well as the seizure of methamphetamine, components to make meth and a small amount of marijuana.

After receiving numerous tips of possible meth manufacturing and use at the residence, Cass County Drug Enforcement Team investigators compiled evidence to obtain a search warrant.

A raid on the residence was conducted Thursday at 6:28 p.m. Meth was found throughout the house and on one of the persons at the time officers entered the residence.

Anyone with information about this or other narcotics-related crime can contact the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team at 1-800-462-9328 or at the Sheriff’s Office web tip line at www.ccso.info.
