Marie M. Locker, 93, of Cassopolis, formerly of Mishawaka, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 in Cass County Medical Care Facility.

She was born on March 1, 1919 in South Bend to Joseph and Rose Witucki. She married William Locker in Kansas in 1943 just before he left for WWII. He preceded her in death.

Marie was a giving person up until the last, working hard to make life good for others. She loved to shop and was always dressed to the nines. She enjoyed playing Bunco. She was always trying to feed people.

Marie will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Edward) Mitchell of Cassopolis; three grandchildren, Megan (Andrew) Dickson of Linden, Wash., Jason Vore of Mishawaka and Tamara (Bill) Appenzeller of Milford, Ind.; and eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Chloe and Nicholas Vore, Sloan, Wren and Layne Dickson, and Scott and Greg Griffith.

The family will announce a memorial Mass at a later date.
