Brandywine wins Lakeshore crown

STEVENSVILLE — The Brandywine All-Star team captured the Pony League Division of the Sixth Annual Lakeshore Baseball All-Star Invitational Monday.
Brandywine defeated North Lincoln 7-4 in the championship game.
The All-Stars reached the finals with wins over Watervliet (14-5) and Hartford (13-8).
In the title game, North Lincoln jumped out to a 2-0 lead after an inning of play, but Brandywine tied the score at 2-2 and then took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the fifth and then held on for the victory.
