According to a Buchanan police press release, a single white male wearing a blue baseball hat, blue shirt and blue shorts exposed himself to a 33-year-old woman and two girls ages 12 and 9 on Sunday.

He was driving a dark blue Mercury Cougar with a temporary Indiana registration of #D714259.

The two young girls summoned nearby adults after the man exposed himself to them at McCoy Creek park at around 1:30 p.m.

The witnesses in this event thought the man to be in his late 20s or early 30s and had some facial hair as if he had not saved for several days. The beard appeared to be brown in color. A broadcast to other area departments was given detailing known information regarding the car and suspect. Additional information was also provided based on the second sighting of the vehicle.

The second event occurred at around 8 p.m. and involved the same subject and vehicle, but this time he exposed himself to an adult who was able to observe more detailed information about the subject.

This event occurred in the downtown area around the commons area of the city. The adult thought the subject appeared in his late 30s and early 40s with brown hair, moustache and was missing a front tooth. The temporary tag number was copied down at that time.

Buchanan officers are working with the Indiana State Police on the case.

Police asking anyone who sees the suspect or the suspect vehicle to call the police immediately and report the sighting. Do not approach the vehicle or subject.

If you know this person, call Buchanan police at (269) 695-5120.
