Van Buren library friends set book sale

DECATUR — Friends of Van Buren District Library continues its long-standing tradition of offering gently used books at great prices this summer.

The group’s annual book sale begins with a special preview Thursday, Aug. 1, 7 to 9 p.m., at Webster Memorial Library in Decatur. For $3, early shoppers get first choice of more than 10,000 hard and soft cover books, video tapes and more. Admission is free for Friends members.

The sale continues Friday, Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 3,

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free both days.

For the extreme shopper, remaining items are available for $20 per bag and $3a box on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 5 and 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friends of Van Buren District Library formed in 1983 to promote library resources and services, and to support cultural activities and library programs.

Van Buren District Library is headquartered in Decatur with branches in Bangor, Bloomingdale, Covert, Gobles, Lawrence and Mattawan.
