Buchanan man hits casino jackpot

One pull of a penny slot machine at Four Winds New Buffalo pulled in a small fortune for a Buchanan man.

The casino is reporting that Timothy T. won a $744,999.02 jackpot playing “The Great and Powerful Oz” penny slot machine from WMS Gaming in the early morning of Jan. 1.

Timothy came to Four Winds for the New Year’s Eve celebration, which included cash prize drawings, a seafood buffet, celebrity impersonators and a concert by Purple Reign at Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds, the casino reports. Timothy told the casino he plans to invest his winnings.

A representative with Four Winds said Timothy T. doesn’t wish to be interviewed.

Other recent jackpots at Four Winds New Buffalo include a $334,298.78 jackpot hit on “Aristocrat’s Tarzan Lord Of The Jungle” in December, and a $409,722 jackpot hit in October on the “QuarterMillion$ Instant Fortune” penny slot machine.

Four Winds New Buffalo features a 130,000-square=foot gaming floor and is home to 3,000 slot machines, a smoke-free slot room, and 66 table games. The casino also has wide-area progressives, which link to other Native American casinos around the country and produces some of the highest jackpots in the region. Four Winds New Buffalo also features four restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe Four Winds, entertainment bars and retail venues and a 415-room hotel. The Silver Creek Event Center is a 1,500-seat, multi-use facility located next to the casino floor that has hosted concerts by music legends such as Rod Stewart, Smokey Robinson and Sheryl Crow.

In addition to Transmissive Reel and Community Gaming features, The Great and Powerful Oz slot machine offers WMS Sensory Immersion Gaming technologies; players see, hear and feel the gaming experience with next-generation graphics and an innovative surround-sound gaming chair, while they journey to the Emerald City for an encounter with The Wizard of Oz in a customizable gaming experience.
