Edwardsburgs sends 23 to state

The Edwardsburg Wrestling Club will send 23 grapplers to this weekend’s MYWA State Tournament at the Kellogg Center in Battle Creek.

Edwardsburg hosted the regional tournament March 10 and had 41 wrestlers compete. The club had 31 of those wrestlers placed in the top six with 23 of them advancing to the state tournament, which begins Friday at noon.

Taking first place were Caedin Pulling, Tye Vargo, Caden Reese, Jackson Hoover, Noah Tinkham, Nick Bradley, Michael Highley, Joshua House, Blake Parsons, Devin Hays and Andrew VanKirk.

Taking second were Joe Hess, Jacob Herman, Michael Kempton and Seth Barnett. Finishing third were Jarrett Tighe, Joshua Harris, Hunter Vargo and Devon McGrath. Placing fourth were Joshua McMann, Steven Harris, Bo  Thomas and Brandon Cooper.

Taking fifth were Nathan Andrina, Gage Collins, Devin Pulling, Edward Mozader, Keathley Marks, Dillon Cline and Danny Rousseau.
