Edwardsburg Lions White Cane fundraising begins May 6-7

The Edwardsburg Lions Club will begin their White Cane fundraising efforts Friday and Saturday, May 6-7.

Each year the Lions Club members look for donations of change, dollars, any amounts that the community can offer to help it raise funds for its “Eye Sight Fund.”

All proceeds go directly to this fund to be used in Edwardsburg for those in need financially for eye appointments, eye glasses, surgeries. The Lions Club has even purchased home computers for children who need a special computer to do their school work.

“We have found that community members have been very generous when they see our Lions outside of some local businesses with their collection white canes,” past Lions Club President Tanda Stiffler said. “We smile as we see community members digging into their pockets for change or pulling out their wallet before they even approach our Lion members.”
