Dowagiac’s Mitchell named All-District

Dowagiac softball Kourtney Mitchell was the only Chieftain selected for the Division 2 All-District softball team.

Mitchell was named as a catcher.

Niles’ Oliva Jordan, Sarah Cramer, Molly VanDeKeere and Tala Gentry were selected for the outfield, first base, pitcher and at-large players.

Host Edwardsburg had Rachel Borden (outfield), Kaley Frank (third base), McKenzie Creed (designated player) and Andrea LaPlace (at-large) selected by the coaches for the team.

The Eddies were also given the sportsmanship award.
