When chosen to direct The Godfather, Francis Ford Coppola was just an art house film director and thought to be a risky choice. But Paramount Studios head Robert Evans wanted an Italian-American behind the camera. After seeing the original cut, Evans infuriated Coppola by asking him where the rest of the movie was. He instructed him to recut it LONGER because he wanted to “taste the spaghetti”.  Enjoy all 175 minutes of this epic on the big screen due to Evans’ commitment and vision.
