Laing wins forecaster crown in second season

Bruce Laing, chairman of Wolverine Mutual Insurance has an insurmountable lead as the Daily News Football Forecasters close out the 2012-13 season.

Laing, in his second season, is currently 98-33 as the bowl season hits high gear.

Fox 28’s Allison Hayes and Cass County Probate Judge Sue Dobrich are tied for second at 90-41.

U.S. Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, moved a game ahead of Jim Snow, John Proos and Frank Williams as Michigan State edged TCU 17-16 over the weekend.

Upton is now 87-44, while Snow, Proos and Williams are 86-45.

Rounding out the standings are Michael Bennett (84-47), John Eby (83-48) and Tom Atkinson (78-53).
