Former Eddie Priebe enters portal, commits to Michigan

ANN ARBOR — Former Edwardsburg All-Stater Josh Priebe, who played at Northwestern University since 2020, entered the NCAA transfer portal and committed to the University of Michigan it was announced Thursday.

Priebe was originally recruited by former Michigan Offensive Line Coach Er Warinnner, but selected Northwestern over the Wolverines and several other Big Ten schools.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman from Niles, played in 36 games for the Wildcats since 2020. Priebe was named third-team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and the media this past season.

Priebe played during the pandemic shortened season, which will leave him one year of eligibility at Michigan where he is immediately eligible to play in 2024.

Priebe helped lead Edwardsburg to the 2018 Division 4 state championship.
