CERT training starting Jan. 15 in Edwardsburg

CERT training offered

 

CASSOPOLIS — Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. Class will begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 15. at the Edwardsburg Fire Department, 69910 M-62, Edwardsburg.

The seven-week training will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9, culminating on Feb. 26 with a simulated disaster exercise and graduation.

CERT is a training program that prepares you to help yourself, your family and your neighbors in the event of a disaster.

During an incident, emergency service personnel may not be able to reach everyone immediately.

By getting trained in CERT, you will have the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.
