Annual Community Commitment Scholarship winners announced

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Several area students were recently recognized for their achievements when Honor Credit Union awarded the Annual Community Commitment Scholarship.

“Honor Credit Union is proud to support local outstanding high school seniors with the annual Honor Credit Union Community Commitment Scholarship,” said Halee Niemi, public relations specialist, in a press release.

Twenty-five students throughout Michigan received $1,000 to be used toward furthering their education.

Because Honor Credit Union is dedicated to supporting the local community, an emphasis on community involvement and extracurricular activities was part of the Community Commitment Scholarship application.

The following students were recognized because they exemplify community commitment and are positive role models for their community service and academic success:
