Four Spacious Guys perform at Beckwith Park

Beckwith Park will be featuring Four Spacious Guys at 7:30 p.m. Thursday as part of its free Summer Concert Series.

“We play Americana music; we like to play songs that are recognizable — a fusion of folk, rock and country,” said Tim King, who plays electric and stand-up bass for the band based out of southwest Michigan. Some of the artists the groups covers include Pink Floyd, Nickel Creek, The Beatles and Phil Collins.

Chuck Hartzell, Ed Skjordal, Mark Moore, Lindsey Mierau and Tim King make up Four Spacious Guys.

They are all individual artists, but “some of us have performed together for 25 years,”  King said.

While they will be performing a couple original pieces, they prefer to do songs that people can sing along to.

“We like to have fun when we play,” King said.
