Beauty meets beast this weekend in Niles

A tale as old as time is about to be told again.

A cast of more than 30 Niles High School Students is scheduled to perform the hit musical “Beauty and the Beast” this Saturday and Sunday at the Niles High School auditorium, 1441 Eagle St., Niles.

Abby Rzepka will play Belle, the heroine who becomes imprisoned in the castle of the beast, played by Stuart Colston. The beast is actually a prince, who was turned into a beast by a magic spell. The spell can only be undone when the beast learns how to love and be loved in return.

Show times for the spring musical are 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets cost $7 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased the day of the show. Reserved tickets may be picked up a the high school’s main office.
