Eastside Connections STEM club hosted an egg drop challenge on Tuesday.

Scientists from Notre Dame led the challenge, which was open to the entire school from kindergartners to eighth graders.

Students were tasked with creating a contraption that could protect an egg from a 20-foot drop.

Niles Fire Chief Larry Lamb assisted the students with the projects. Using a department bucket truck, Lamb perched above a crowd and dropped the students’ projects. (Submitted photos)
