On Saturday, April 16, the Cass County COA welcomed a sold-out crowd for the organization’s annual Trivia Night, presented by Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.

Eighteen teams attended the event at the Lowe Center to compete for the grand prize of $300. In the end, Little Fish & Friends, hosted by Tom and Diane Celie, took first place, with Scott Young’s Sexier Cable Lakers in second and Karen Current’s 8 Is Enough in third.

Guests also participated in a 50/50 raffle and enjoyed a dinner prepared by the COA’s culinary staff.

This year’s Trivia Night raised over $11,000 to support the COA’s Handy Helpers program. With support from community donations and a partnership with Judd Lumber, a team of dedicated volunteers builds wheelchair ramps and makes safety improvements to the homes of area seniors. Trivia Night proceeds go toward the cost of lumber and other materials needed for the program.

People who wish to support Handy Helpers as a volunteer or donor can contact the COA at (269) 445-8110 or (800) 323-0390.
