What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

DB: Being a two-sport all-conference winner.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

DB:  Not making it to state, thus far.

What has been a hardship in your life?

DB:  Losing my aunt and both grandfathers.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

DB:  Both of my parents, because they gave me the chance to play for Dowagiac.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

DB:  When I have a 3-foot putt for par.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

DB:  Having to disqualify myself for having an incorrect score on a hole.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

DB:  Go out and play nine holes or spend some more time on the practice green.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

DB:  Lacrosse.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

DB:  My parents and sister, because I know even when they’re not there, they’re still cheering me on.

How would you give away $50,000?

DB:  I would give it to the less fortunate here in Dowagiac.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

DB:  The Notre Dame lacrosse team.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

DB:  Get a job.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

DB:  Play in the rain with high winds.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

DB:  You could ground your club in the bunker.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

DB:  That I am the most honest player they had met.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

DB:  I had to disqualify myself. Absolutely.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

DB:  A player hit a shot from the pine straw and around the tree and put the ball less than 10 feet from the hole.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

DB:  Golf, because I’ve played since I was three.
