George Crump, 79, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. On Aug. 22, 1936, he married Lettie Mae Garrett in Eau Claire, MI on Feb. 11, 1962.

He worked for Clark Equipment and Du Well. George was a busy body, and he loved fishing and the outdoors but he most enjoyed hanging out with his family.George is survived by his children Celestine Marie Crump, Toni Melissa Crump, Tiffany Ann Crump and George Crump Jr. all of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren Leslie, Lionel, Ebony, Roman, Gerald and Mirical; and his siblings Mary Crump of Colbert, Mamie Hall of Niles, Maggie Radford of Benton Harbor and Jonah Crump of Dowagiac. George is preceded in death by his parents Gabe and Maggie Crump; loving wife of 14 years Lettie Mae Crump; granddaughter Lettie; and siblings Jerothy Hampton, Garland Crump and Gabe Crump.
