Taylor Hulett is a junior on the Dowagiac girls basketball team.

 

What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

TH: Two-time all-conference, district and region in softball. Two-time honorable mention all-conference in basketball.

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

TH: Missing the game-winning free throw.

What has been a hardship in your life?

TH: Changing my whole pitching style.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

TH: My mom, because she worked hard to accomplish hear collegiate softball goals and I want to follow in her footsteps.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

TH: During the national anthem.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

TH: When we lost 56-0 to Paw Paw.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

TH: I go to the weight room to get stronger and go to open gym in the summer to get better.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

TH: Track.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

TH: My parents, because no matter what the outcome, they will always support me.

How would you give away $50,000?

TH: I would give to a cancer research program.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

TH: UConn women’s basketball team.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

TH: Go insane and probably become really lazy.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

TH: Keep a positive attitude even though we’re 1-20.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

TH: Traveling is allowed.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

TH: I’m a hard worker and very athletic, and it will all pay off in the end.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

TH: Take my pre-calc exam. Yes or else I would have definitely failed.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

TH: Kyrse Gondrezick scoring 72 points against Buchanan.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

TH: Softball, because it lets me forget about everything else.
