Robin Darlene Carpenter Berry, 54, (Birda) (Mamaw) resided at West Paducha, Kentucky passed away Feb. 27, 2016 in her home unexpectedly in her sleep with her companion Randy Chase by her side.

Robin was born in Niles, Michigan to Richard LaVon and Mary Ann Carpenter on May 17, 1961. She attended Niles and Buchanan, Michigan schools. She moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana, for her employment at Random House/Golden Books Publishing and later worked for Lakeland Health Care as a Team Leader in housekeeping. Robin was reunited with Randy Chase and moved to West Paducah, Kentucky. She was a member of the Eagles in West Paducha, Kentucky. Her church family was at Portage Rd. General Baptist Church in Niles. Music was a vital part of her life. She used music like an old friend. People are drawn to her inner and outer beauty. She nurtured everyone she came into contact with and always put others needs before her own. She’ll also be remembered by her late night calls and her infectious laugh. She felt that her greatest accomplishments was her children and grandchildren.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Ann, her siblings Alan Scott and Valerie Ann, her husband Michael Berry and her partner of 25 years Ricky Morris (Papaw).

Robin is survived by her siblings Aaron Carpenter, Cassopolis, Michigan, Timothy Carpenter, Holland, Michigan, and Lisa (David) Churchill, Dayton, Ohio. Her children Tonia Carpenter (Keith Aalfs), Niles, Michigan, Tasha Carpenter (Alden Adams), Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Michael “Tony” Berry (Rachael Day), Crawforsville, Indiana. Her 6sixgrandchildren MaKaya Carpenter, Gracy Berry, Zane Sinnet, Joselyn Aalfs, Brooklynn Berry, and Kaylynn Perry.

Services will be held Friday night, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the New Harvest Church, Crawfordsville, Indinaa at 308 Green St. Also a second service will be held Saturday night on March 5 at 5 p.m. at Portage Road General Baptist Church, Niles, MI at 1765 Portage Road.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the New Harvest Church, Pastor Joseph Lee and Portage Road General Baptist Church, Pastor Lonnie Rhodes for their support in her final days.
