Larry F. Bell, 79, of Pokagon, lost his bravely fought battle against cancer on Feb. 28, 2016.

He was born in Dowagiac, Michigan on May 27, 1936. Beloved husband of Shirley Bell, son of Frank and Rose (Bakeman) Bell, preceded in death by sister, Bonnie Pence, and survived by brother, Donald Bell; daughter, Rebecca Bell, son, Michael (Rebecca Hojara) Bell; grandchildren, Aimee Conell, Jonathan Bell, Lindsay Hojara and Brooke Hojara; great grandchildren, Journey Conell and Alexander Bell.
Larry met the love of his life in 1953 and they were married on Oct. 12, 1957. They lived a happy and blessed life in Pokagon for 58 years.
Larry attended School in Dowagiac and Winter Haven, Florida.
He loved gardening, farming, hunting, fishing, and lending a helping hand to anyone he could. His sense of humor was a rare gift, and his beautiful smile made everyone happy.
The family is having a private service but would be pleased if all who loved Larry would joining them on May 28, 2016, to celebrate his life at the Bell home.
