Eddies pull away from Sturgis in final quarter

STURGIS — A quick start and a strong finish helped Edwardsburg get past Wolverine Conference South Division foe Sturgis in boys basketball Friday night.

The Eddies jumped out to a 15-6 first quarter lead and then scored 14 points, while holding the Trojans to eight to win 46-35.

Edwardsburg (9-9, 2-6 South) led 24-19 at halftime and held a five-point (32-27) lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Adam Kozinski led the Eddies with 15 point, while Dante Razzano added 11.

Ryan Schuller led all scorers with 16 points for Sturgis. He was the lone Trojan player to reach double figures.
