Courtland Lamberton is a senior on the Niles wrestling team.

 

What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

CL: Making it to regionals.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

CL: Not making it to individual state last year.

What has been a hardship in your life?

CL: Losing my best friend.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

CL: Myself, because I push myself to be a better person.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

CL: Waiting to wrestle, but when I step on the mat the nervous feeling is over.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

CL: Tripping on to the mat.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

CL: I workout as well as I do when I am working out with others.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

CL: Baseball.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

CL: My dad, because he is always there to support me.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

CL: Niles High School.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

CL: I Have a job.

What is the most

challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

CL: Losing is the most challenging.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

CL: Tape on your headgear and shoes.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

CL: Having the best technique on the team.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

CL: Rope swing into a creek. Yes, I am glad I did it.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

CL: Lateral drop to win a wrestling match.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

CL: Basketball, because I can spend more time with my brother and my cousin.
