The Twin City Players announced last week that application forms for the 2016 Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship are now available online.

The Twin City Players established the Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship in 1996 in memory of former member Brian Swiger.

Scholarships of up to $1,000 are earmarked for seniors graduating from Berrien County high schools who have demonstrated a strong interest in theater-related activities during their academic careers.

Winners, however, can use the award money to pursue any field of study at any accredited college, university, trade school or arts education institution.

Applications can be obtained online at http://twincityplayers.org/scholarship.html. Students at all Berrien County high schools wishing to apply can contact their counselors to learn more.

Applications should be mailed to Twin City Players, P.O. Box 243, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085 or hand delivered to the TCP Playhouse at 600 W. Glenlord Road in St. Joseph.

Applications must be received no later than March 31. The scholarship is awarded based upon school and community activities, TCP involvement, grade point average of 2.0 or better and a

short essay.

The recipient(s) will be announced in late May.
