Brandon Winchester-Jones is a senior on the Dowagiac basketball team.

 

What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

BWJ: Being named honorable mention all-state.

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

BWJ: Not winning state yet.

What has been a hardship in your life?

BWJ: Parents not together.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

BWJ: Grandma, because she is always encouraging me.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

BWJ: Before the game.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

BWJ: Air balling a free throw.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

BWJ: Ball handling and free throws.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

BWJ: Football.

Who are you a big fan of?

BWJ: Stephen Curry. I like his game.

How would you give away $50,000?

BWJ: To my family or I would keep it.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

BWJ: Golden State.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

BWJ: I cannot answer that.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

BWJ: Keep a positive attitude.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

BWJ: Traveling.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

BWJ: You are going somewhere.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

BWJ: Kill a spider. Yes.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

BWJ: Parents helping out.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

BWJ: Playing basketball. I love it.
