Niles Community Schools has announced registration dates for its preschool and kindergarten programs for the 2016-17 school year.

“Early education is critical to developing a foundation for academic success,” said Dr. Zechariah Hoyt, principal of Northside Child Development Center. “We are committed to providing high quality educational services in a warm and engaging culture. By working together — students, parents, teachers and district leaders — we can ensure that our community’s children get the start they deserve.”

The following dates are applicable to anyone interested in registering their child to attend early education programs at schools throughout the district.

Preschool (GSRP and Headstart) registration is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 or 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at Northside Child Development Center, which is located at 2020 N. 5th St., in Niles.

Registration for kindergarten, as well as other child-centered programs, will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 31 at Northside Child Development Center. Children who will be five on or before Sept. 1, 2016, are eligible to enroll.
