Nancy Kay Wieland-Fries, 59, passed away on Dec. 26, 2015, where she resided in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Dec. 9, 1956 to the late Clinton and Ruth Wieland of Niles, Michigan.

Surviving are her husband Mike Fries, formerly of Niles and sisters Pat (John) Ryder of Niles, Ellen (Terry) Klinck of Dowagiac, nephews Chad (Leanne) Zavitz and Brian (Sarah) Ryder of Oceanside, California, great niece and nephew Niah and Cade Zavitz and stepson Gage Galusha of Arizona.

Nancy was a graduate of Niles High School in 1975 and JCAHPO college in 1993. She worked as an Ophthalmology Technologist.

Nancy’s love of experiencing new places lead her to reside in Colorado, Florida, Reno, Nevada, Anacortes, Washington, Oregon, California, North Dakota, and most recently Prescott, Arizona. She had a passion for nature, animals, especially dogs and horses, flower gardening and was a very creative artist and pianist. She could turn a thrift store bargain into a masterpiece.

An outdoor memorial is being planned at a later date to honor her life.
