Second quarter spurt leads Edwardsburg to victory

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Visiting Edwardsburg outscored Berrien Springs 18-10 in the second quarter to open up a 10-point halftime lead in its 47-39 non-conference girls basketball victory Tuesday night.

The Eddies led just 13-11 after one quarter, but took a 31-21 lead into the second half.

The Shamrocks attempted to make a comeback against Edwardsburg, but could never quite catch the Eddies.

Savannah Dixon had 13 points and Braden Curtis 11 for Edwardsburg, which will travel to Dowagiac Friday night.

Kyrah Sanders scored a game-high 12 points for Berrien Springs.
