Myron Dean Bailey, 81, of Buchanan passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at his home in Buchanan.

He was born on April 12, 1934, in Du Quoin, Illinois to the late Clarence and Mary Bailey. On June 15, 1963, he married Angeline De Rossi at a ceremony in Buchanan. Myron was a United States Airforce Veteran, a member of Portage Road General Baptist Church in Niles and volunteered on the Bertrand Township Fire Department for 26 years.
Myron is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Steve) Hamel of South Bend, Indiana; brothers, Loren Bailey and Fred Bailey; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Angeline on Feb. 20, 2012, and daughter, Debbie Bailey in 1970.
Funeral services for Myron will be held at 1 pm on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Portage Road General Baptist Church in Niles. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, also at Portage Road General Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
