Eleanor Fairchild, 88, lifelong resident of Niles, passed away at Brentwood of Niles on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015.

Eleanor was born on Oct. 9, 1927, to the late Wray and Nellie (Rohl) Curtis in Niles. She graduated from Niles High School. On Oct. 26, 1946, Eleanor wed Bob Fairchild. Eleanor was an avid doll and button collector. She also loved to grow and care for the flowers in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Donn Fairchild.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, Bob Fairchild; grandson, David Fairchild of Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews and good friend Don Marinelli of Niles.

In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes she has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately.
