LMC offering education workshops this spring

NILES — Lake Michigan College has announced its Spring 2016 Community Education Workshop schedule. Classes will be offered at LMC’s Bertrand Crossing Campus beginning on March 19.

Workshops are scheduled on evenings and weekends. Schedules range from one day to four weeks. Prices range from free to $51.

Courses include:

• Old-fashioned soap making — Saturday, March 19 – $21

• Tips and tricks for remembering — Saturday, April 9 – free

• Photography Part 2: Setting up your shot — Saturday, April 9 – free

• Cracking the Bible code — Tuesday, April 12 — free

• Old Hickory: The life & times of Andrew Jackson — Saturday, April 16 – free

• Romantic dinner for two – Saturday, April 23 — $42

• The Toledo War – Saturday, April 23 — free

• Omelet master class — Saturday, April 30 — $26

• Improve your game: Golf for beginners and intermediates — Tuesdays, May 3 to 31 – $51

• Cooking with herbs — Saturday, June 11 – $32

LMC Community Education offers area residents free, or low cost learning opportunities in the creative arts; home and garden; language, history and culture; and recreation and wellness.
