Hope Community Church of Niles is helping provide gifts for 21 local needy families this Christmas.

Kelly Robison, of HCC, said each year the church contacts area schools to obtain a list of families that are in need of assistance with Christmas. Each child receives four gifts and each adult receives a gift card. Gift tags for each present are made available for the congregation to choose from. Gifts are bought, wrapped and returned to the church. This year, the gifts will be delivered to each family following the morning service on Sunday, Dec. 20.

The goal of church leaders and its members is to show the love of God to the community in any way possible, including the distribution of gifts.
