Niles falls to Kalamazoo Loy Norrix

KALAMAZOO — Gavin Rasler was the lone Niles player to reach double digits in the Vikings’ 52-39 SMAC boys basketball loss to Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Tuesday night.

Niles (1-2) was outscored 19-9 in the first half by the Knights.

Both teams headed up in the third quarter, but the Vikings trailed 41-27 heading to the final eight minutes of play.

Derek Brown added seven points for Niles.

Grant Mitchell scored a game-high 24 points to lead Loy Norrix.
