Clayton Paul Nolan Sr., 76, of Niles, Michigan, passed away at his home on Dec. 11, 2015. Clayton was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Niles. On Aug. 1, 1959, he married Norma McBain. She preceded him in death, passing away in August of 2015.

Surviving is his son, Tim (Pam) Nolan of Niles, two grandsons, Dustin (Carisa) Nolan and Chad Nolan, and three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Ranger, and Naomi. He is also survived by his brother Elwood Nolan of Niles and half-brothers Mark Nolan and Jack Swartz, both of Niles. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, O’Dell Nolan and Marian (Krueger) Swartz, and his son Clayton Paul Nolan Jr.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Elkhart Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.

Clayton was employed for many years at National Standard in Niles, before retiring in the mid-1980s. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting deer and geese, and loved fishing for steelhead and bluegill.
