Larry James Hayden, Sr., (Q-Ball), of Niles, Michigan, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.

Larry was born June 29, 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Diane Hayden; his nephew, Justin Hayden; and his brother, John Burtzlaff.
Larry was survived in death by his three children Wendy Gambee, of Buchanan, Michigan; Larry (Laura) Hayden, of Niles, Michigan; and his son Todd Hayden of Niles, Michigan.
Larry was a general laborer most of his life until he could not work any longer due to an illness. He was a family man constantly surrounded by his family, which included six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who lovingly knew him simply as Big Papa.
Larry had a passion for riding motorcycles and did so until he could not because of his illness.
For the past year of Larry’s life he was lovingly cared for by his grandchildren Josh Hayden (Britney Fryman) of Niles, Michigan.
Funeral arrangements will be Saturday, Dec. 12 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan, Michigan. There will be a gathering from 11 a.m. to noon with the funeral at noon. Dinner will follow.
