The Edwardsburg Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees for the 51st year beginning the day after Thanksgiving.

Trees will be delivered Nov. 27 at the H&R Block parking lot, located at 26091 US-12, and will be on sale weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m. with expanded hours on weekends.

“Over the years many have opted to purchase a fake Christmas tree, but there are still those traditional families that prefer the significance of going out to select their “perfect live tree,” Tanda Stiffler, past president of the Lions Club said. “They love the smell that reminds them of the season that we are celebrating.”

The Lions Club will be offering Scotch pine and Fraser fur trees that are from 5 to 12 feet tall.

“The quality of the trees are exceptional and it is always a good idea to get up to that lot to pick out the best tree for your family while there is an abundance of trees to select from,” Stiffler said. “The Lions members are there to help load your tree on your vehicle and take great pride when we see our community members come for our fundraiser.”

The Christmas tree sale is the largest money-maker for the Lions Club and helps fund projects that are offered to the community throughout the year.

This year the Lions Club will also be selling pure maple syrup, which can be purchased at the lot as well.
