Sheriff’s office seeks help locating missing child

Update: Holliman has been located unharmed and is being returned to her family, according to an update from the sheriff’s office. 

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing child.

Honesty Elaine Holliman, 11, of Vandalia was discovered missing on Nov. 6, 2015. The child was last seen on South Main Street in Vandalia between 7:30 and 8 p.m., according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Holliman is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and pink tube stocks.

Officials say the child may be in possession of a bicycle with skinny tires and a multicolored backpack, and she may be heading toward the Kalamazoo area.

According to the sheriff’s office, there are no indications of suspicious activity in relation to the disappearance, and officials do not know if Holliman is accompanied by others.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office asks if anyone sees or has contact with Holliman, they contact the local police department or the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at (269) 445-1560.
