Buchanan District Library offers new programs

The Buchanan District Library will offer the following new programs and events starting in November.

The library is located at 128 E. Front St., in Buchanan.

Sci-fi & fantasy book club

The Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Union Coffee house, which is located at 115 E. Front St. in Buchanan. The group is facilitated by Tom Hoyt.

 

Author lecture with John Urschel

A special lecture will take place at noon Saturday, Nov. 14, at the library.

John Urschel is the author of the “Michigan Boys in Blue” Civil War series of sourcebooks. He will give a presentation about Michigan soldiers incarcerated at the infamous Camp Sumter or Andersonville prison in 1864. Books will be available for purchase. Light refreshments will be served.
