Donna M. (Welch) McFadden, 79, of Niles, passed away on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, following an extended illness.

She was born in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Frank and Josephine (Bates) Welch.

Donna worked for many years at White House Restaurant in South Bend and also enjoyed being a homemaker. Time spent with family was most important to Donna. She also liked to play BINGO and Scrabble and tried to watch her daily soap operas. Donna will be remembered as a sweet-loving person and gifted at crocheting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathy Manion, a son, Dan McCombs, a sister Virginia “Ginny” Gibbons and two brothers, Gary and Frederick Welch.

Donna leaves to remember her a husband Edmund McFadden of Niles, a daughter Roberta Zehrung of Dowagiac, two sons, Doug (Kim) McCombs of Rothberry, Michigan and Jamie Myers of Florida, three stepsons; Eddie (Gloria) McFadden, Chester and Glenn McCombs, eight grandchildren, five sisters; Mary (Jerry) Woodring, Darlene (Ed) Loughridge, Charlene (Dale) Essex, Shawn Ball and Lori Grossman and four brothers; Arkie (Ginger) Welch, Don (Judy) Welch, Bill and Rick Welch

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life at a later time.
