Christopher Anthony Woods, 23, residing in Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away Sunday evening Oct. 18, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born June 24, 1992, in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Rodney Woods and Linda (Askren) Woods, and remained a resident of Southwestern Michigan.

While growing up, Christopher was a member of the Berrien County 4-H Club, where he showed goats and chickens. He worked as a mechanic for Moore’s Marine Service in Niles, Michigan prior to his death.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Rodney (Pamela Keosay) Woods of Niles and Linda (Brad Paquette) Woods of Niles; his sister, Alexandria Woods of Niles; paternal grandmother, Christine Woods of Niles; maternal grandparents, Karen and Russell Moore of Benton Harbor; maternal great grandmother, Margaret Askren of Niles; and aunts and uncles, Anthony and Elaine McKee of Niles and Charlie and Tracy Cagle, also of Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Drive, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in Sumnerville Cemetery, Niles. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, in the Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m.
