OTSEGO — Visiting Dowagiac kept its playoff hopes alive with a 36-34 victory over Otsego in Wolverine Conference football Friday night.

The Chieftains outscored the Bulldogs 28-21 in the first half and the two teams were deadlocked at 28-28 after three quarters.

Dowagiac (5-3) rushed for 261 yards and threw for 102 yards against Otsego, which finished with 401 yards of total offense.

Anthony Neubauer was 5-of-9 for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lazaro Piedra rushed for 85 yards and a score, while Erik Walker added 76 yards and a score.

Ronnie Payne and Nate Ward also had rushing touchdowns.

Austin Taggert had a pair of touchown passes for the Chieftains.
