Bobby M. Worvey, Jr., 72, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, on Saturday morning, following a brief illness.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1942, in Niles to the late Bobby M. Sr. and Pauline (Hilligoss) Worvey.

On Sept. 4, 1965, Bobby married Delores J. Weiss at a ceremony in Niles.

Bobby retired from Tyler Refrigeration after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Hope Community Church in Niles. Bobby enjoyed bowling locally, especially with the Tyler Refrigeration League. He was an avid Michigan Football and Detroit Tigers fan and loved cheering for any team playing against Notre Dame. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandkids. He had a special bond with his dog “Buzzett” and Bobby’s family is sure they are glad to be reunited. Everyone who entered Bobby’s home was always greeted with a big hug.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores Worvey of Niles, two daughters, Kathy (Charles) Lutin of Niles and Barbara (Robert) Fay of Buchanan, a son, Bobby III (Kim) Worvey of Niles, eight grandchildren; Ryan, Ashley, Robbie, Chad, Sean, Amanda, Mark and Jessica, eight great-grandchildren, three brothers; Tommy Worvey of Niles, Orville (Karen) Worvey of Buchanan, Craig (Tracey) Worvey of Niles, two sisters, Linda (Mike) Staner of Niles and Leota (Lester) Young of Niles.

A time of visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services for Bobby will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
