Usually when someone finds their yard full of flamingos it is not a good thing.

But in Cassopolis, “getting flamingoed” will bring a smile to the face of the property owner as the Sam Adams Ranger Pride Team has found a unique way to raise money.

Fred Flamingo and his gang are popping up throughout the community. For a $20 donation a parent or school volunteer will show Fred and his gang which home or business needs to get “flamingoed.” For a $10 donation, parents and school volunteers will take them away.

“We hope you can help us build our Ranger Pride Program by participating with us in our fundraising effort,” Sam Adams teacher Lindsay Gorham-Pflug said.

To send Fred and his gang somewhere within the Cassopolis Public School district, contact Gorham-Pflug at (269) 591-2659 or Cheryl Rogers at (269) 921-0088. Checks should be made out to Sam Adams Elementary School (the flamingo account).

Sam Adams has a list of those families where Fred and his gang have already landed.

Ranger Pride stands for positive-respectful-inclusive-dependable-enthusiastic.
