Anthony Neubauer is a senior on the Dowagiac varsity football team.

What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?

AN: Having four turnovers my first game as varsity quarterback.

What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?

AN: Coming back from having such a bad first game and playing good against South Haven.

What has been a hardship in your life?

AN: Losing my dad right before football season started this year.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

AN: My grandpa is my hero. He has sacrificed so much. So I could live with him and he still works every day.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

AN: The beginning of every game. It takes me a couple of plays to get a feel for it.

Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.

AN: Getting my pants pulled down during a game.

How do you tend to

workout/train when by yourself?

AN: I try and work out as many times as I can. I try and work different muscles every time so I can be the best.

What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?

AN: I would like to be a professional golfer.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

AN: My grandfather because he does whatever it takes for me to succeed.

How would you give away $50,000?

AN: I would distribute it evenly throughout my community.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

AN: Notre Dame.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

AN: I would go crazy and not nearly be as

disciplined as I am.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

AN: Every day is a challenge to get better than the day before.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

AN: Be able to change plays and have instant replay.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

AN: I’m nice.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

AN: No idea.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

AN: Braxton Miller recovered from his injury and changed positions in just a year.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

AN: Football. Greatest sport around.
